ABOUT NDA
The National Defence Academy (NDA) exam is a prestigious examination in India for individuals aspiring to join the Indian Army, Navy, or Air Force as officers.

Exam:
- The NDA exam is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
- It consists of a written examination followed by an interview process.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Age: Candidates must be between 16.5 and 19.5 years old.
- Educational Qualification: For the Army, candidates should have completed 10+2; for the Air Force and Navy, candidates should have completed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics.

Selection Process:
1. Written Examination:
- Mathematics and General Ability Test are the two papers.
- The exam tests mathematical aptitude, general knowledge and English proficiency.

2. *SSB Interview:
- Shortlisted candidates undergo a five-day interview process by the Services Selection Board (SSB).
- It assesses intelligence, personality and compatibility.

3. Medical Examination:
- Selected candidates undergo a thorough medical examination.

Training:
- Successful candidates join the NDA for a three-year training program.
- The training includes academic, military and physical components.
- After completing the NDA course, candidates go on to specialized training in their respective service academies.

Career
- On successful completion, candidates are commissioned as officers in the Army, Navy or Air Force.
- They may choose their respective arms or services based on merit and preferences.
